20 Years of Innovation
Hear from three of Octane’s founders and Octane’s CEO, Bill Carpou, on how you can continue the legacy of impact and innovation in Orange County.
Jim Mazzo, Executive Chairman, Neurotech, Co-Founder, Octane
Michael A. Mussallem, Chairman & CEO, Edwards Lifesciences, Co-Founder, Octane
Dwight Decker, Retired Chairman & CEO Conexant Systems, Inc., Co-Founder, Octane
Why do we do it?
Why Continue the Legacy of Octane?
Octane provided a VERY hands-on and detailed review of our seed fundraising deck. Our pitch review session was like a mentorship one on one. Literally on the same day after making pitch deck adjustments, we closed an angel investor. 5 days later, we signed a SAFE note for $25k. And 3 more in the following week. The LaunchPad feedback really made an impact!
I think it is one of the most impressive recent accomplishments of octane to see not only the board, but the programmatic efforts really be highly diverse and to help people of all backgrounds really be able to become technology champions and start companies and create movements that might not have happened if it wasn’t for Cctane.
I hope the legacy of Octane will continue with the Impact Fund as it will impact the future generations. We need to create jobs. We’re going to create high paying jobs so that we have a fulfillment here for a family. We want people to understand that Orange County is a great place to live, a great place to work.
Your Support Will Help Us Create Generational Impact
Since its creation in 2002, Octane has grown from a small non-profit started by community leaders to an ecosystem-changing organization. We need your support to continue the legacy. By connecting ideas and people with resources and capital, Octane will continue to create one of the nation’s most dynamic ecosystems for driving technology growth.
