Important Update: SBA Now Accepting PPP Applications
As of July 6, 2020, the SBA has reopened applications to the Paycheck Protection Program. Access the SBA website for more information and applications here. The SBA is also now able to accept new applications from for small businesses and non-profits for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)-COVID-19 related assistance program based on available appropriations funding. California Rebuilding Fund
The California Rebuilding Fund is offering a loan program to support California’s small businesses.
Save Small Business Fund
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will open its Save Small Business Fund to applicants today, Monday, April 20. These funds will be available in the form of grant money to businesses that have between 3-20 employees, are located in an economically vulnerable community (zip code lookup), and have been harmed financially by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Give Back to the Community and Provide Food and Supplies with Local Organizations
Here are a few ways to help our community through the coronavirus crisis.
Due to the pandemic, donations of blood that hospitals rely on have decreased and there is now an urgent need for blood donations. If you are healthy, donate through the American Red Cross or UCI Health.
Octane’s COVID-19 Policies
Octane is monitoring the impact of COVID-19 and is taking the appropriate actions to ensure the safety and health of our employees, members, sponsors, and partners. We are working closely with our building and event spaces to take the necessary precautions to ensure they have processes in place to make safety and health a priority. As a result, Octane will postpone our Tech Innovation Forum scheduled for May 11-12 to Thursday and Friday, September 10-11. It will be held at the same location, AV Irvine. All sponsorship and registration will be transferred to this new date. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Rita Battocchio, Head of Events at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rita will also be directly contacting our planning committee, speakers and sponsors to continue the planning process. Our development of the conference will not slow down and this added time provides the opportunity to deliver an even higher impact event. In addition, we have decided to reschedule our annual Ophthalmology Technology Summit from June 26 to August 7, 2020. This decision was made in collaboration with our committee, board members, sponsors and KOL’s. OTS will also be at a new venue, the Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, CA. - March to May 2020: Octane will postpone or cancel programming. Tech Innovation Forum is postponed to September 10-11, 2020.
- June to August 2020: Octane will continue to monitor the situation. Ophthalmology Technology Summit 2020 will has been postponed to August 7, 2020.
- September 2020+: Octane will continue to monitor the situation as we return to business as usual.
In addition, Octane employees will attend meetings as requested by our constituents and will use telecom or video conferencing as appropriate and required.
