    Despite its controversial nature, medical marijuana use and legal adoption continues to expand nationwide. Currently, there are over 70 completed or ongoing human clinical trials exploring cannabinoid use. However, many questions remain as variations of legal use exist from state to state, and more data is necessary to determine its clinical benefit and global effect on the United States health care system.
