Laura Beken, MBA

Laura Beken is part of a team of business consultants at SBDC @ UCI Beall Applied Innovation and LaunchPad, Octane. She spent her career in technology and healthcare sector, and has degrees in Psychology, in Visual Arts/Media and a Healthcare MBA. Prior to SBDC she was managing Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute at CHOC Children’s Hospital. She was an editor for Physicians News Network, a software engineer in private sector, and had her own startups in online video space. She was also a figure skating coach. Her passion is innovation and working with startups, as well as riding motorcycles.
