Octane announces an Innovation Week anchored by the organization’s annual Tech Innovation Forum from May 9-11, 2023
NEWPORT BEACH, CA, February 14, 2023 – Today, Octane announced an Innovation Week anchored by the organization’s annual Tech Innovation Forum from May 9-11, 2023.
Partnering with the City of Irvine, Greater Irvine Chamber, Orange County Business Council, and UCI Beall Applied Innovation, the Orange County innovation ecosystem will display the many industries and organizations that enable Orange County to be an epicenter of both technology and medical technology innovation.
While the program continues to build, Innovation Week will kick off on Tuesday, May 9th at the UCI Beall Applied Innovation on the campus of UCI where over 40 companies will be presenting to both institutional and private investors seeking series A funding. The majority of these companies will have completed Octane’s LaunchPad SBDC program which provides qualified investors with AI-based analytics to guide their investment decision.
“Orange County is the sixth largest county in the nation and home to some of the most innovative business leaders and companies in the world. We are proud to partner with Octane, UCI Beall Applied Innovation, City of Irvine, and the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce in providing this focused event which will highlight some of our brightest entrepreneurs and showcase a selection of great investment opportunities that are available here in our region,” said Jeffrey Ball, President/Chief Executive Officer of the Orange County Business Council.
The next two days, themed Building the SoCal of Tomorrow, will feature exceptional content and interaction with Octane’s Technology Innovation Forum at AV Irvine where entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and professional services firms convene. Learn more about EV potential, what’s driving the latest transformations in industry and business, attracting talent to Orange County, the capacity of AI technologies, and the latest breakthroughs in tech innovation.
“I am excited that we have brought together many of the key organizations that drive innovation each day in Orange County. It is the start of something much larger that over the next three years OC Innovation Week will attract a much broader audience outside of California and the US” said Bill Carpou, CEO of Octane. “As Irvine continues to grow, it has naturally become the hub of innovation and technology. I’m so excited to support Innovation Week and look forward to the network of ideas and founders expanding year after year,” said Mayor Farrah N. Khan, Mayor of Irvine.
